Thar be Pirates Cruise
The chase is on! Dress up as pirates and bring your water muskets.
We will meet up 10am at the South Ramp parking lot near the sailboat dry storage gate. Look for a pirate flag being flown off a truck rooftop. There you will be divided into teams as you please and meet your captains. Each boat will be given 2 flags.
We then head to our boats where we all meet up at the north ramp area. The pirate boats take off to Balance Rock Island heading around it starting on the east side and heading back. The Navy Crown heads out 30min later to catch them. Channel 67 VHF.
Water musket fights ensue. If you're hit, you can't sail. If your boat is taken out, you raise the flag of the winning ship. Once all of one flag flys, we put our boats away and head back to "Vista Point" to "meat" with the group of observers who have been cheering us on for rum a tiki themed barbecue, and prizes!
Observers, please bring your spyglasses and binoculars! YARR!
