Seven boats participated in the November 6 & 7 Veterans Day Cruise. Tony & Diane Kozlik on ‘JOKEN2’ were Cruise Skippers. They were joined by Tim & Rhonda Brewer on ‘Moonshadow’, David Devocous on ‘Scotch Mist’, Steve & Helen Eshleman on ‘Orinoco Flow’, John Pendleton on ‘Spontaneous’ and Mark & Emily Kaufmann on ‘Frequent Flyer’. Tom Dumbauld on ‘BT Cruiser’ stopped by with Linda Cook as crew, but did not spend the night. Liz Robbins also crewed on Tom’s boat earlier in the day.

There were good sailing conditions during the day on Saturday. Once again we proved the theory that if you are prepared for windy conditions during the night, the winds will be calm. We had 8 anchors out for 6 boats with copious amounts of chain and line and the night was a peaceful calm.

Steve & Helen Eshleman won 1st place in the Veterans Day quiz. Tim & Rhonda Brewer were in 2nd place. Veterans participating in the cruise included Tony & Diane Kozlik (Air Force), David Devocous (Air Force), Steve Eshleman (Navy) and John Pendleton (Army Ranger).
