The 2nd Annual Ladies’ Day@the Lake will be a day-long, sailing summit for especially for women sponsored by Lake Pleasant Sailing Club (LPSC) at the Desert Outdoor Center at Lake Pleasant (DOC). Ladies’ Day@the Lake is designed to introduce women to and/or enhance their skills in recreational sailing through both land-based seminars and on-the-water workshops. Two hour workshops in the classroom will be available for a variety of topics. We have expanded our on-the-water to last a half-day. On-the-water seminars designed for most sailing skill levels will be coached by US Coast Guard licensed captains, American Sailing Association, US Sailing and/or Arizona Game and Fish Department certified instructors. A small teacher to student ratio in all LD@L courses will assure students will receive personal attention.

WELCOME ABOARD is our course designed to teach the novice sailor the ropes, parts of the boat and what makes a sailboat work. It sold out early in 2009. Welcome Aboard will include classroom, dock-side and expanded on-the-water instruction. Other favorites include; docking, anchoring, man overboard, knots plus several all new courses.

All instruction, course materials, raffle ticket, refreshments and a box lunch will be included in the Ladies' Day@the Lake registration. Cost is $85. Registration closes Sept. 15. No walk in registration.

Registration is on a first come first serve basis. Enrollment is limited to 55 participants.
